Real Madrid at back to the top of the Spanish La Liga table after the win over newly promoted team Osasuna at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu on Wednesday night.

The immediate past European champions beat Osasuna 2-0 at home courtesy the goals from two young Brazilian attackers.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has been under serious pressure this season but it seems like his situation is improving with every game.

Recent reports claimed that he could lose his job especially after the humiliating defeat suffered at the hands of French Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in their Champions League opener last week.

Real Madrid were beaten 3-0 at the home of PSG courtesy the goals from former player Angel Di Maria (2) and Thomas Meunier.

The defeat to PSG was followed by the impressive 1-0 win over hosts Sevilla in what was a week five league clash played at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Seville.

Real Madrid made it two successive wins with the 2-0 victory over Osasuna.

Manager Zinedine Zidane rested some players for the Osasuna game as his team strolled to victory with goals from Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo either side of the halftime interval.

Real Madrid were able to regain the lead on the Spanish La Liga table after city rivals Atletico Madrid had taken the summit earlier via the 2-0 away win recorded over Real Mallorca with ten men.
