Mohamed Salah is furious with the Egyptian FA after they returned invalid votes according to FIFA despite the fact that the association had said that captain Ahmed Elmohamady and former coach Shawky Gharib both picked Salah as first choice during voting.
According to world football’s governing body FIFA, their votes were rendered invalid after the signatures were in capital letters in addition to the fact that they were not signed by the EFA general secretary.
Only the votes of Egypt’s media representative Hany Danial (Sadio Mane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Salah) was listed on FIFA’s website.
