Arsenal Eyeing Summer Move For In-form Monaco Loanee

Premier League giants Arsenal are plotting a summer move for AS Monaco attacker Gelson Martins according to reports emanating from the media in Portugal.
Popular Portuguese newspaper A Bola claim that the Gunners want to sign the in-form Gelson Martins when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The Portuguese international player was at Sporting Lisbon until he joined Spanish La Liga club Atletico Madrid at the start of this season.
Gelson Martins was part of the 23-man squad that represented Portugal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
The European champions didn’t have the best of tournaments after they were knocked out of the competition at the last 16 stage via a 2-1 defeat to South American nation Uruguay.
Paris Saint Germain (PSG) striker Edinson Cavani was the hero for Uruguay with his two goals against Gelson Martins and his Portuguese teammates.
Shortly after the World Cup in Russia, Gelson Martins cancelled his then contract at Sporting Lisbon before joining Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
His transfer to Atletico Madrid is being investigated by world’s football governing body, FIFA.
Gelson Martins didn’t have the best of starts at Atletico Madrid and that prompted him to leave the club for French club AS Monaco on loan.
He has been in good form for Monaco since his loan transfer to the club.
The Portuguese winger has scored three goals in his first seven games for Monaco.
