Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of the Premier League visit to Arsenal on Sunday evening apart from Ivorian international player Jonathan Kodjia.
Dean Smith provided the injury update on his team during his pre-match presser ahead of the Arsenal game.
Jonathan Kodjia has been injured since the opening game of the season at the Gunners’ North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Ivorian striker fractured his cheekbone during the away game at Tottenham Hotspur which ended in a 3-1 loss despite the fact that Aston Villa scored the first goal of the game.
Jonathan Kodjia has not returned the Aston Villa squad since then though there were rumors that he could make the team for the Arsenal game.
He is back in light training though manager Dean Smith says that the striker is still two or three weeks away from being fully fit.
Aston Villa recovered from the opening weekend’s league loss at Tottenham Hotspur to record four points from the last four games ahead of the Arsenal clash.
Arsenal are overwhelming favourites to take the three points at stake but it must be pointed out that the Gunners have been winless in three games.
