It has been confirmed that England international defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is a major doubt for Liverpool’s clash against Tottenham when the international break finally ends.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is reported to be suffering from a back injury which is the reason why he pulled out from England’s game against Czech and Montenegro and there are fears that he will not be fit for Liverpool’s first game.
Manager Jurgen Klopp who gave the latest update on the situation with the player stated that Trent Alexander-Arnold wants to be fully fit before he returns to the pitch for a game but hinted that he would prefer the England international to be in the starting line-up.
The German international expressed his frustration at the disappointment as he noted that he would wish the pain is gone for Trent Alexander-Arnold to return with the team as they press on for the English Premier League title challenge.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund boss has made it clear that he will still wait until on Thursday to determine if Trent Alexander-Arnold will be available or not.
Meanwhile, the game is expected to be a major test to Liverpool’s resolve to win the League title ahead of Man City.
