Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed a new contract to secure his future at the club for the long haul.
The young England international has signed a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was linked with a move away from Chelsea for the better part of the last year but the Blues have been able to secure his long-term future at the club.
He broke into the first team at Chelsea at the start of last season when Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri was still the Blues’ boss.
German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich tried to sign him in January but they were not successful.
Bayern Munich made several bids for Callum Hudson-Odoi during the January transfer window including a final offer of £35m.
Apart from Bayern Munich, the young English winger was also linked with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund.
Callum Hudson-Odoi initially had his doubts over a new Chelsea deal while Sarri was still the Blues boss having struggled for game time under the Italian tactician.
His stance was changed completely for the better due to new manager Frank Lampard’s focus on young players.
Callum Hudson-Odoi will earn around £180,000 including add-ons on a weekly basis at Chelsea with his new deal.

However, Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent said the Gunners should not invest in Willian because he will block the chances of younger players who are already progressing well at the Emirates Stadium.
He noted that Arsenal have the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Eddie Nketiah, and Bukayo Saka at their forward which is enough to compete.
According to him, Willian will not get enough playing time in the team which makes his coming wasted while his presence will limit the playing time of some of the players which will affect their progress.
