Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed that the fullback duo of Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney will make a return to the pitch on Friday.
Unai Emery gave an update on the fitness of the two players during his post-match press conference after his team got their Europa League campaign to a good start with an excellent away win over last season’s semifinalists Eintracht Frankfurt.
Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin are long-term injury absentees for the Gunners but they are closing in on a return to the team.
According to Unai Emery, the two players will feature for the Arsenal reserves in their game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday as they step up their recovery from injury.
Hector Bellerin has been injured since he sustained a serious knee injury in January during a league game against London rivals Chelsea.
He sustained the injury during the second half of the game which Arsenal won 2-0.
Kieran Tierney was a Celtic player when he underwent hip surgery in the summer.
The Scottish international recently returned to Arsenal training having joined the North London club in a £25m deal in the summer.
Both Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney are expected to return to first team action before the end of this month.
