Chelsea have been handed a major boost on the injury front ahead of their Premier League meeting with leaders Liverpool later this weekend.
The Blues host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening and they could welcome back star midfielder N’Golo Kante into their team.
N’Golo Kante has been blighted by a troublesome ankle problem for the larger part of the new season and that has restricted him to just two appearances.
His first appearance of the season came against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup which Chelsea lost on penalties after the two teams played out a four-goal thriller at the end of regulation time and extra time.
Kante made his second appearance of the new season in week two of the new Premier League campaign as Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw at home to Leicester City.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard talked about Kante during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the Liverpool game.
Lampard confirmed that Kante is back in full training and that the French World Cup winner is in line to return to the starting XI for the Liverpool game.
The former Blues midfielder would be hoping that his team bounces back from the Champions League defeat at the hands of Spanish giants Valencia on Tuesday ahead of their meeting with Premier League leaders Liverpool.
