Arsenal Manager Receives Public Vote Of Confidence

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has received the backing of the North London club amidst the recent backlash faced for the recent poor results in the Premier League.

Vinai Venkatesham is the Arsenal managing director and he gave Unai Emery the vote of confidence in an exclusive interview with Strait Times.

According to him, senior Arsenal officials are happy with the job done by Unai Emery till date before adding that the Spanish tactician is still the right man to move the club forward.

Unai Emery was appointed the Arsenal manager last summer as a replacement for legendary manager Arsene who resigned from the position after 22 years in North London.

He led Arsenal to the Europa League final last season before they were beaten by eventual winners Chelsea.

Unai Emery also led the Gunners to fifth place at the end of the Premier League campaign for last season.

He started his second season as an Arsenal manager with two straight wins in the Premier League.

Newcastle United and Burnley were beaten by the Gunners before they came unstuck against Liverpool in the third game of the season.

Arsenal then went on to play 2-2 with both Tottenham Hotspur and Watford.

Unai Emery came under serious criticism after his team lost a two-goal halftime lead in their last league game against Watford.
