PSG host Real Madrid in a Champions League Group A clash billed for the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.

Real Madrid left-back Marcelo will miss the PSG game due to post-traumatic cervicodorsal injury.

His injury status was confirmed by Real Madrid earlier on Monday.

Real Madrid warmed up for the PSG game with the 3-2 home win over Levante in a Spanish La Liga week four game played at the weekend.

Summer signing Eden Hazard is expected to feature against PSG after he made his return against Levante.

The Belgian international only made his debut at the weekend after recovering from the injury sustained at the weekend.

Real Madrid would be hoping to win the Champions League title again after they lost it to Premier League giants Liverpool last season.

The Los Merengues were beaten by Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam in the round of 16.

For PSG, they prepared for the game against Real Madrid with the 1-0 win over Strasbourg at home.

Marcelo made his return to the team from injury during that game but the Brazilian is suspended for the Real Madrid.
