Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has signed a new deal at the club thus putting an end to the transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the Old Trafford outfit.

De Gea had less than a year left on his previous contract and that led to doubts over his future at the club.

The 28-year-old was strongly linked with the likes of Italian Serie A champions Juventus and French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

David De Gea has signed a new four-year deal at Manchester United until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The Spanish international shot-stopper signed for Manchester United from Spanish La Liga club Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 and he has been the first-choice goalkeeper at the club since joining them eight years ago.

He has kept 130 clean sheets in 367 appearances for the Red Devils.

His 130th clean sheet for Manchester United came at the weekend against Leicester City.

De Gea and Manchester United recorded their second league win of the season with the 1-0 victory over Leicester City at home.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game in the eighth minute as Manchester United returned to winning ways since the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.
