Why Chelsea’s Move For 22-Goal Serie A Might Not Work

West London giants Chelsea have been linked with a possible move for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek when the January transfer window reopens next year.
According to The Sun, Chelsea might go back for Polish international striker Piatek who has struggled for form in recent games.
Krzysztof Piatek has scored one goal in the last nine appearances after a run of 22 goals in the Italian Serie A last season for Genoa and AC Milan.
He signed for Genoa last summer before leaving the club for fellow Italian top flight team AC Milan after just six months.
Chelsea were strongly linked with Piatek in January before the Polish international star left Genoa for AC Milan and those transfer links are back.

It’s unlikely that Chelsea will sign him one year after they could have signed him before the player left for AC Milan.
Chelsea are hopeful that they would be able to sign new players in January.
This will happen if their transfer ban is reduced.
Chelsea were given a two-window transfer ban by world football’s governing body FIFA for breach of rules in relation to the signing of players under the age of 18.
Blues’ boss Frank Lampard was unable to sign players during the just concluded transfer window.
