Sportswear manufacturing giants Adidas reportedly blocked a possible Real Madrid move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Star which claimed that Adidas opted for Pogba to stay at Manchester United for commercial reasons.

Paul Pogba is in the third year of his 10-year sponsorship deal with Adidas in addition to the fact that Premier League giants Manchester United have a kit deal with the Sportswear manufacturing giants.

Adidas preferred Manchester United over Real Madrid for Paul Pogba though some players with the Spanish club are also on the books of Adidas.

Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale are Real Madrid players with Adidas sponsorship deals.

Paul Pogba was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid throughout the summer but nothing came out of it.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane spoke publicly about Pogba as he wanted him in his team.

Paul Pogba stayed at Manchester United beyond this summer’s transfer window.

The Frenchman has two years left on his current deal at the Theatre of Dreams with the option of an additional year.

Paul Pogba is in his second spell at Manchester United on the back of his return to the club three years ago.
