French national team manager Didier Deschamps has praised the quality of Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi after the young player was given an invitation to his squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Albania and Andorra in Group H.
Matteo Guendouzi was invited to the French squad as a late replacement for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba who pulled out of the team for the qualifiers as a result of an injury.
In his latest interview ahead of the Andorra game, Didier Deschamps heaped praise on Guendouzi before warning that fans shouldn’t expect much from the young Arsenal midfielder.
Matteo Guendouzi is expected to make his debut for the senior French team against Andorra on Tuesday night.

He was an unused substitute for the previous game in the Euro 2020 qualifiers, 4-1 win over Albania at home.
France maintained top spot in Group H after the win over Albania.
Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman was the star of the show for France after he scored a brace either side of the halftime interval.
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud and second-half substitute Jonathan Ikone of Lille also scored for France.
Matteo Guendouzi has been in very good form for Arsenal since the start of the new season and it’s not surprising that he was invited to the French squad.
