Premier League giants Liverpool have released their Champions League squad for this season.

The 2019/20 Champions League squad for Liverpool was released earlier today via the club’s official website.

Liverpool are the defending champions and they have been drawn with Italian Serie A giants Napoli, Belgian top flight side Genk and Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg.

The Reds will start the defense of their title against Napoli on September 17.

Liverpool won the Champions League title last season following the win over fellow Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their final clash.

The Reds beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 courtesy the goals from Mohamed Salah (penalty) and Divock Origi either side of the halftime interval.

Liverpool won their sixth European title as a result of the win over Spurs thereby extending their record as the most successful team in the United Kingdom (UK).

Liverpool are also one of the favorites to win the Champions League this season alongside the likes of Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City.
