The match was characterized by the second half penalty miss by England international Marcus Rashford.
The Manchester United Academy graduate smashed his penalty against the post after Crystal Palace skipper Luka Milivojevic brought down Scott McTominay in the box.
Marcus Rashford is still on penalty duties according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the England international will lead the line against Southampton in the absence of the injured Anthony Martial.
French international Martial got injured during the Crystal Palace game.
According to Solskjaer, he will be back for the Leicester City game after the international break.
