What Griezmann Said After Scoring His First Barcelona Goals

New Barcelona signing Antoine Griezmann has thanked the fans after he scored his first goals for the Spanish La Liga champions.

The French World Cup winner took to his official Twitter handle to thank the Barcelona fans for their support on the back of his brace against Real Betis on Sunday night.

Antoine Griezmann had come under a lot of scrutiny after his anonymous debut against Athletic Bilbao in the first game of the new Spanish La Liga season which ended in a slim 1-0 win for the San Mames outfit.

Veteran Spanish striker Aritz Aduriz overshadowed both Antoine Griezmann and Barcelona after he scored the only goal of the game for his team after coming on as a second half substitute.

Griezmann more than made up for that timid performance against Athletic Bilbao after he scored a brace and also added an assist as Barcelona came from a goal down to beat Real Betis 5-2.

Barcelona were able to bounce back from the disappointing defeat at Athletic Bilbao to record their first win of the season.

The Catalan giants were without three of their best players for the Real Betis game but that didn’t affect the team in the long run.

Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembele, and Luis Suarez were all missing for the Real Betis game.
