Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona have concluded plans to let midfielder Ivan Rakitic leave the club this summer according to the publication from the stables of Spanish newspaper AS.

Barcelona want to sell Ivan Rakitic before the European transfer window ends on September 2.

Ivan Rakitic has lost his place in the Barcelona midfield this season and the Croatian international midfielder has been told that he’s surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona want to re-sign Neymar who spent four years at the club between 2013 and 2017 before his world-record €220m move to PSG made him the most expensive player in the history of world football.

During his time at Barcelona, Neymar won two Spanish La Liga titles as well as the 2015 Champions League title.

Ivan Rakitic started the new Spanish La Liga season by playing 45 minutes for Barcelona during the 1-0 loss to Athletic Bilbao.

The Croatian international player was then left on the bench for 90 minutes as Barcelona recorded their first win of the season by beating Real Betis 5-2 at the weekend.
