Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez is still a long way from joining Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan according to BBC Sport.
Earlier reports had said that the Chilean international has agreed on a loan move to Inter Milan with the option of a permanent transfer.
According to the aforementioned publication, Inter Milan are hoping to sign the player on loan and they are yet to reach an agreement for him.
The major stumbling block is his £390,000 weekly wages.
Inter Milan are willing to pay less than half of his present wages at Manchester United.
Alexis Sanchez became a Manchester United player at the start of 2018 after he joined them from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The Chilean international star signed for Manchester United in a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan who moved in the other direction.
Alexis Sanchez has scored just five goals in his 18 months at Manchester United.
Apart from Inter Milan, AS Roma are also interested in signing Alexis Sanchez before the European transfer window closes on the 2nd of September.
Alexis Sanchez recently returned to Manchester United with a hamstring injury which he sustained at this year’s COPA America tournament in Brazil.
He was part of the Chile squad that finished the tournament in third position.
