EPL: What Rashford Said About Pogba’s Penalty Woes vs Wolves

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has absolved teammate Paul Pogba of any blame after his penalty miss against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux on Monday night.

After the game, Rashford told Sky Sports reporters that Paul Pogba should not be made the scapegoat for the missed penalty.

Rashford had a conversation with Pogba before the Frenchman stepped up to take the penalty which was saved by Wolves GK Rui Patricio.

Paul Pogba has come under a lot of criticisms for the penalty miss which denied the Red Devils three points against their nemesis, Wolves.

Manchester United didn’t beat Wolves in three meetings last season including two Premier League games and one FA Cup game.

Wolves are still unbeaten against Manchester United after the game at the Molineux on Monday night.

Manchester United took the lead during the week 2 league game through Anthony Martial off an assist from fellow forward Marcus Rashford before Wolves equalized in the second half.

Portuguese international Ruben Neves scored the equalizer for the hosts off an assist from Joao Moutinho.

The draw meant that the two teams maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

Manchester United are fourth on the table after the draw with four points from two games.
