Coutinho Speaks On Failed Barcelona Career

New Bayern Munich signing Philippe Coutinho has spoken about his failed career at Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona.

Coutinho talked about his time with Barcelona during his official presentation as a Bayern Munich player.

According to him, things didn’t work out the way he wanted.

Philippe Coutinho went on to add that his Barcelona spell is in the past and that his focus is on his new club.

The Brazilian international has signed for Bayern Munich on loan until next summer.

The 27-year-old will spend the rest of this season at the Allianz Arena as Bayern Munich chase down honors in three major competitions namely the Champions League, German Bundesliga and the German Cup.

Bayern Munich have paid €8.5m for his loan transfer from Barcelona and they have the option to make the deal a permanent one for the sum of €220m.

Coutinho has been handed the number 10 jersey at Bayern Munich.

He will be the direct replacement for Colombian international star James Rodriguez who was at Bayern Munich until this summer.

James Rodriguez joined the Bavarian giants on a two-year loan deal and that expired earlier in the summer.

Philippe Coutinho made just 22 starts for Barcelona last season after a run of eight goals in his first 18 league games as a Barcelona player.
