Real Madrid Take Playmaker Off Transfer Market

Immediate past European champions Real Madrid have reportedly taken midfielder James Rodriguez off the transfer market.

This is according to the latest reports emanating from the Spanish media.

James Rodriguez has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid for the best part of this summer’s transfer window.

The specific publication from Spanish news outlet Deportes COPE revealed that James Rodriguez has been removed from the transfer list at Real Madrid.

James Rodriguez was on the list of players available for transfer alongside Gareth Bale.

The Colombian international playmaker came close to joining Italian Serie A giants Napoli earlier this summer.

Apart from Liverpool, James Rodriguez was linked with clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal before the Premier League transfer market ended last week Thursday.

James Rodriguez is back at Real Madrid after his loan spell at German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The Colombian was on loan at the Allianz Arena for two years after the Germans paid £11m to sign him.

James Rodriguez scored seven goals and also added six assists for Bayern Munich in the last campaign as he helped the Bavarian giants to a domestic double.

Bayern won both the German Bundesliga title and the German Cup title last season.
