New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard singled out American international Christian Pulisic for his performance after the UEFA Super Cup clash with Premier League rivals Liverpool.
In a chat with reporters, Lampard praised Pulisic for his performance against the reigning Champions League title holders.
Christian Pulisic is a new signing at Chelsea after he joined them from German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea agreed on a £57.1m deal for Pulisic in January but the young attacker didn’t link up with his new teammates until this summer having spent the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund.
Frank Lampard also pointed out that his team would have won the game if they had a little bit of luck on their side.

Christian Pulisic made his mark on the game by providing an assist for the game’s opening goal scored by French international striker Olivier Giroud.
Frank Lampard would be expecting Christian Pulisic to continue his good form in the Premier League with the Blues set to welcome Leicester City to Stamford Bridge at the weekend.
Pulisic and Lampard are targeting a return to form in the Premier League after the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
Frank Lampard will take charge of his first home game as a Chelsea manager against the Foxes and only a win would be enough for him.
