Jorginho

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has sent a message to the club’s fans after the loss to Liverpool during the UEFA Super Cup.

In an exclusive interview with Brazilian media outlet Esporte Interactivo, Jorginho told the Chelsea fans that he wants to be known as the Jorginho that plays for the club rather than the Jorginho that plays for Maurizio Sarri.

Jorginho moved to Chelsea from Italian Serie A giants Napoli last summer mainly due to the influence of Maurizio Sarri.

Italian tactician Sarri was named the Chelsea manager last summer only for him to last just one season in the job before he left the club to take up the managerial job at Juventus.

Jorginho played for Napoli under Maurizio Sarri and also repeated the same at Chelsea but that has since changed since the Italian international didn’t follow him to Juventus.

Italian midfielder Jorginho spoke to the reporters shortly after he scored in the Super Cup clash with Liverpool.

Jorginho (penalty) scored the second goal for Chelsea in extra time to cancel out the second strike from Sadio Mane some moments earlier as the game ended 2-2 thereby prompting extra time.

Regulation time had ended 1-1 after the first goal from Sadio Mane cancelled out the Chelsea strike from Olivier Giroud.

Liverpool beat Chelsea 5-4 on penalties as Blues striker Tammy Abraham turned out to be the only one who missed during the shootout.

Chelsea player Victor Moses is closing in on a move to Inter Milan whose manager Antonio Conte is eager to reunite with the former Super Eagles of Nigeria star.

Victor Moses is set for a medical at the San Siro club though Italian publication Corriere dello Sport stated that Inter Milan will have to convince Turkish giants Fenerbahce to cut short the player’s loan deal at the club.

The Chelsea loanee has been at Fenerbahce since last year January having joined them on an 18-month loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer afterward.

Victor Moses has six months left to run on that loan deal though he has not been a regular for the Turkish team this season due to injury problems.

Chelsea are his parent club and they don’t have any problem sanctioning a loan move to Inter Milan on the condition that the Italians will pay £10m for his transfer in the summer after his short-term loan deal has ended.

Victor Moses played his best football for Chelsea under Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte and they could link up again at the San Siro.

They won the 2016/17 Premier League title together with Victor Moses as a right wing-back.

Lewis Dunk

Europa League holders Chelsea are eyeing a big-money move for a Premier League defender according to the various reports coming out from the British media.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has money to spend in this transfer window and he has identified the centre back position as one of the areas to strengthen.

The specific publication via the Daily Star revealed that Chelsea are planning a £48m bid for Brighton and Hove Albion skipper Lewis Dunk.

It remains to be seen whether the Seagulls would want to sell Lewis Dunk in the middle of the season as they are in a battle to avoid the drop in the Premier League.

Lewis Dunk is undoubtedly the best centre back in the Brighton squad.

Frank Lampard and Chelsea have already lost eight games in the Premier League this season. In addition, defence has been the Achilles heel for the Blues this season but they have still managed to keep their place in the top four of the league.

They have a five-point lead over Manchester United with 15 games left to play in the Premier League.
