He has been able to motivate his players ahead of the UEFA Super Cup clash with Liverpool.
Frank Lampard didn’t enjoy the best of days after his Premier League managerial bow ended in a mini-disaster.
His first competitive game as a Chelsea manager ended in a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United.
The game was also his first game as a Premier League manager.
England international star Marcus Rashford was the main thorn in his team’s flesh during the game played at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
Rashford scored two goals during that game, the first one from the penalty spot after he had been fouled in the box by Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma in the first half before adding a third goal in the second half.
Anthony Martial scored a second goal just before the second Rashford strike before substitute Daniel James rounded off the scoring in the 81st minute.
