EPL: Man Utd vs Chelsea: Lampard Names Squad For Premier League Bow

New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has named a 22-man provisional squad for his first game as a Premier League manager.

The Chelsea legend was appointed into the job this summer after a successful one-year stay at Derby County.

Ex-Chelsea midfielder Lampard has signed a three-year contract until the end of the 2021/22 season.

He bagged the Chelsea after leading Derby County to the English Championship playoffs before they lost the final 2-1 to Aston Villa who gained Premier League promotion as a result.

Ahead of the Manchester United game, Chelsea boss Lampard has some injury worries.

England internationals Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are long-term absentees with respective Achilles injuries.

Chelsea will give the duo of Antonio Rudiger and Willian late fitness tests to determine their eligibility for the opening Premier League game.

French World Cup winner N’Golo Kante has not had the best of preseasons because of a troublesome knee injury but the midfielder is fit in time for the Manchester United clash.
