David Luiz recently signed a new two-year deal at Chelsea with his previous contract scheduled to end this summer but his fresh contract terms with the Blues didn’t stop him from moving to Arsenal after he was relegated to fourth choice centre back.
New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard relegated him to fourth choice during preseason with the likes of Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen and the injured Antonio Rudiger ahead of him in the pecking order.
David Luiz has reunited with Arsenal manager Unai Emery in North London having worked together with the Spanish tactician during their time at French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
