The 21-year-old has been handed the number 10 jersey at the San Siro.
Ismael Bennacer joined Arsenal from French club Arles in 2015 and went on to spend two years at the club before signing for Italian Serie B outfit Empoli in 2017.
He was one of the best players for Empoli last season in a campaign that ended in relegation from the top flight.
Bennacer was able to transfer the same form to the Algerian national team setup as his quality shone during the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.
Algeria won the tournament by beating Senegal 1-0 in the final and Ismael Bennacer was at the heart of the victory as he won the best player of the tournament.
