Leicester City defender Harry Maguire will undergo his medical at Manchester United on Saturday.
This is according to Sky Sports as the English international defender closes in on a move to Manchester United after they reached an £80m agreement for his signature.
Manchester United have tried to sign Maguire for the majority of the summer until Friday when they were handed a big boost.
The Red Devils had earlier been rebuffed when they made a £70m for him.
The transfer fee agreed for Harry Maguire between Leicester City and Manchester United will make him the most expensive defender in the history of world football.
The current record stands at the £75m paid for the signing of Virgil Van Dijk.
The Dutch international skipper joined Liverpool from fellow Premier League outfit Southampton at the start of last year for that amount.
Since his transfer, Virgil Van Dijk has been immense for Liverpool at the back and this was evident last season when they finished the Premier League season with the best defensive record.
Van Dijk was also a key player for Liverpool who finished the season as European champions and it was made possible via the 2-0 win over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
