Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has agreed to personal terms with Italian Serie A champions Juventus as he edges closer to a move.

The latest development was confirmed by popular Italian news outlet La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

It was revealed that Lukaku has agreed to a weekly salary of £160,000.

The Belgian international will earn £8.2m (€9m) on a yearly basis when he completes his move to Juventus.

Earlier reports had said that Juventus and Manchester United have reached an agreement over a swap deal for the player.

The swap deal involves Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku and Juventus attacker Paolo Dybala moving in the other direction.

Lukaku has said YES to the swap deal, while both clubs are waiting on Dybala to accept the offer from Manchester United.

Paolo Dybala returned to Juventus on Thursday morning after an extended break on the back of his exertions from the 2019 COPA America tournament in Brazil.

Dybala represented two-time world champions Argentina at the tournament this summer.

Argentina finished the tournament in third position as hosts Brazil won the title on home soil for their ninth COPA America triumph.

Host nation Brazil got the better of fellow finalists Peru on that back of a 3-1 victory.
