Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have turned their attention to AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko after failing to agree on a deal for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
This is according to Sky Sports Italia which revealed that the Nerazzurri are back in for Bosnian international player Dzeko after hitting a brickwall in their quest to sign Belgian international Lukaku.
The latest Inter Milan bid of £54m for Lukaku was turned down by Manchester United who are holding out for the majority of the £75m spent to sign him from fellow Premier League club Everton in the summer of 2017.
Inter Milan were seriously linked with Dzeko at the start of the transfer window before they moved their focus to Romelu Lukaku.
The new development means Inter Milan are back in the hunt for the aforementioned Dzeko.
Inter Milan have offered €12m for the AS Roma star but the Romans are holding out for €20m according to Sky Sports Italia.
The €12m bid was immediately turned down by AS Roma.
Inter Milan will make a new bid of €15m for their transfer target and it remains to be seen whether the new offer would be accepted by the Italian capital club.
