Premier League giants Manchester United have agreed to a deal in principle to sign highly-rated Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

This is according to the publication from the Daily Mail which claimed that the Red Devils are closing in on a top midfield signing.

Lazio had earlier slammed an asking price of €80m on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and it looks like Manchester United are ready to pay the said amount in their bid to sign a midfielder this summer.

Recent reports had claimed that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is being readied as a potential replacement for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba who has been attracting serious interest from former club Juventus and Spanish club Real Madrid.

Former Spanish champions Real Madrid are still interested in signing Pogba who has been linked for the majority of this summer’s transfer window.

The Los Merengues will have to spend at least £150m in transfer fees to have a chance or signing the French World Cup winner.

Pogba has publicly talked about his desire to have a new experience but he could stay at the Theatre of Dreams for at least another season.

He has two years left on his current contract with the Red Devils who have the option of another year.
