Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye is closing in on a move to French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) this summer after turning down an offer from Premier League giants Manchester United.
PSG had earlier agreed on a fee of around £28m for the Senegalese international star before Manchester United tried to hijack the deal at the last minute according to the Daily Express.
The player rejected the Manchester United offer to seal a move to PSG.
He’s expected to undergo a medical at PSG this week ahead of official confirmation.
PSG and Manchester United tried to sign Idrissa Gueye during the winter transfer window in January but Everton were defiant that the player is not for sale.

Idrissa Gueye would be the second Premier League midfielder to leave the division for PSG if the Senegalese international star completes his move to the Parc des Princes.
The Senegalese midfielder will sign a four-year deal at PSG with the option of another year.
He will follow Ander Herrera to PSG after the Spanish international midfielder left Manchester United earlier this summer upon the expiration of his contract at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard signed a five-year deal at PSG whom he joined on a free transfer.
