Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has sent a transfer message to Manchester United over their pursuit of midfielder Sean Longstaff.

According to him, Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff is not for sale at any price amidst the transfer rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

Mike Ashley talked about Sean Longstaff during an interview with the Daily Mail.

Sean Longstaff has been touted as a possible transfer addition to the playing squad at Manchester United for the majority of this summer.

He broke into the first team at Newcastle United at the start of last season and the young midfielder has not looked back since then.

His form for Newcastle United last season has led to the interest from Manchester United.

He made his debut for the Magpies during the Capital One Cup clash with Championship club Nottingham Forest.

Sean Longstaff made nine appearances for Newcastle United in the Premier League last season.

The 21-year-old made a total of 14 appearances for his team in all competitions before his progress was checked by a serious knee injury.

Sean Longstaff is being targeted as a possible replacement for Ander Herrera at Manchester United after the Spanish midfielder joined French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on a free transfer.
