Arsenal attacker Xavier Amaechi has signed for German Bundesliga II outfit Hamburger SV ahead of the new season.
The transfer was finalized earlier on Saturday.
Hamburger paid €2.5m for the transfer and the player has put pen to paper on a four-year deal until the end of the 2022/23 season.
In addition to the €2.5m fee above, there are performance-related bonuses also involved in the transfer.
Arsenal also have a sell-on clause inserted into the transfer that took the 18-year-old from the North London club to Hamburger SV.
Xavier Amaechi has been handed the number 17 shirt at the German club and he will go straight into their first team roster ahead of the new season.
The young Nigerian-born English attacker came through the ranks at Arsenal before making the decision to leave the club for greener pastures this summer.
He had one year left on his current Arsenal deal and was not willing to sign a new contract despite the fact that an offer was made by senior club officials.
Xavier Amaechi also turned down a lot of other European sides to sign for former German top flight side Hamburger.
The target for Xavier Amaechi and Hamburger SV is to secure promotion to the German Bundesliga from the second division.
