Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he has no regrets over his decision to include striker Romelu Lukaku on the preseason tour of Australia and Asia.
Belgian striker Lukaku was on the preseason tour despite the intense transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the club this summer.
While speaking with reporters ahead of the friendly game with fellow Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
According to him, Lukaku will sit out the Spurs game as a result of an ankle injury.
The Manchester United manager also said that the injury is not too serious before adding that the striker would have gone back to England if it was more serious.
Romelu Lukaku has emerged as a major transfer target for Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan this summer mainly due to the influence of newly appointed manager Antonio Conte.
The former Chelsea and Juventus manager is a big fan of the striker.
He tried to sign him as a Chelsea manager in 2017.
Manchester United signed Lukaku ahead of his former club Chelsea in 2017 and he has gone on to score 42 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils in his two seasons at the club.
