Why Sporting Reject €50m Man Utd Bid For Bruno Fernandes

Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon have turned down a big bid from Manchester United for one of their best players.
Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been attracting the interest of Premier League giants Manchester United this summer.
According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Manchester United have turned down a €50m bid for Bruno Fernandes with the club holding out for the excess of €70m despite the fact that the player has a gentleman agreement with the club.
The gentleman agreement is for the club to release him if they receive at least €35m for the Portuguese international midfielder.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bruno Fernandes for the majority of this summer’s transfer window.
Bruno Fernandes has a release clause of €100m in his Sporting Lisbon contract at the moment but the Portuguese giants are willing to sell their star player for less.
The 24-year-old had a season to remember in the last campaign after he scored 32 goals and also provided 18 assists for Sporting Lisbon in 53 games in all competitions.
He won the Portuguese Cup with his club last season after the penalty shootout victory over rivals FC Porto.
