Premier League giants Manchester United might miss out on one of their transfer targets following the report that the player has agreed on personal terms with Italian Serie A club Napoli.

AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas has been a long-term transfer target for Premier League giants Manchester United but it seems like the Red Devils will miss out on him with the Greek international centre back closing in on a move to Napoli after an agreement with the player.

The salary agreement with Napoli was confirmed by popular Italian media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It was revealed that Kostas Manolas has agreed on a five-year deal with Napoli and the player is expected to earn around €3.5m on a yearly basis.

The AS Roma star has agreed on a €17.5m contract over the next five years.

Napoli have an agreement with Kostas Manolas according to La Gazzetta dello Sport but they still need to agree on a transfer fee with AS Roma for the central defender.

Manolas has a release clause of €36m in his contract with the Italian capital club at the moment and the Romans are not willing to sell him for less.

On their part, Napoli hope they can negotiate a lower transfer fee for the 28-year-old defender.

Spurs Offer Cash Plus Man Utd Target In Swap Deal

Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered a swap deal in their quest to sign AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

According to the Daily Star, Spurs have offered cash plus one of their players for the Italian international player.

It was revealed that the Champions League finalists want to offer £36m plus defender Toby Alderweireld for Nicolo Zaniolo.

The AS Roma teenager has been attracting a lot of interest since his breakthrough season.

His debut campaign with AS Roma was last season and it turned out to be his breakthrough campaign.

Nicolo Zaniolo joined the Italian capital club last summer as part of the swap deal for Radja Nainggolan who moved to Inter Milan.

His best game of the season came in the first leg of the last 16 clash with Portuguese Super League giants FC Porto.

Nicolo Zaniolo scored two goals for AS Roma as the Italians beat FC Porto 2-1.

Manchester United target Toby Alderweireld has a release clause of £25m in his contract at Tottenham until the final two weeks of the current transfer window.

Toby Alderweireld has always been a transfer target for Manchester United having come close to signing for the club on a lot of occasions.

Roma Finally Secure Signing Of Amadou Diawara

Italian Serie A giants AS Roma have announced the signing of midfielder Amadou Diawara from rivals Napoli.

His transfer was confirmed by the Italian capital club earlier on Monday.

The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract at his new club until the end of the 2023/24 season.

AS Roma have paid €21m to secure the signing of former Bologna star Amadou Diawara.

The new Roma signing was previously linked with a move to Chelsea.

He is presently with the Guinean national team at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.

The Guinean midfielder has moved to Rome as part of a swap deal involving defender Kostas Manolas who has moved from AS Roma to Napoli.

Both clubs decided to treat the two transfers separately for financial reasons.

Greek international centre back Kostas Manolas has joined Napoli from AS Roma after both clubs agreed on a €36m deal for him amidst the transfer reports linking the defender with a move to Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United.

Napoli decided to pay the €36m release clause in his contract at AS Roma to secure his transfer.

He will replace Raul Albiol at Napoli after the Spaniard joined La Liga club Villarreal for €4m.

Roma In Talks To Sign Gonzalo Higuain

Italian Serie A giants AS Roma are reportedly in talks to sign former Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer.

According to the publication from Italian transfer news portal Calciomercato, Gonzalo Higuain could join AS Roma in a swap deal with young midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo moving to his parent club Juventus.

Gonzalo Higuain has been surplus to requirements at Italian Serie A champions Juventus since Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo sealed a club-record move to the club from Real Madrid.

The Italians paid €100m to secure the signing of Ronaldo from Spanish giants Real Madrid last summer.

The former Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon attacked signed a four-year deal at Juventus until the end of the 2021/22 season.

As a result of the arrival of Ronaldo, Higuain was sent on loan to rivals AC Milan for the season before the Argentine player ended the season-long loan deal at the halfway stage to join Premier League giants Chelsea.

He didn’t record much success at both AC Milan and Chelsea whom he scored five goals for as the Blues ended the season with the Europa League title.

He had earlier netted eight times for AC Milan during the first half of the season before netting five times for West London giants Chelsea during the second half of the season.
