Italian football expert David Amoyal has predicted a Manchester United transfer for AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas.
Amoyal was speaking on the CalcioLand podcast via the Daily Star as he said that the Red Devils can be able to secure the signing of the Greek international centre back.
The experienced journalist also revealed that Manchester United might have to wait till the first two weeks of this summer’s transfer window to sign Manolas.
He revealed that it’s when his €36m release clause can be activated to secure his transfer from Italian capital club AS Roma.
David Amoyal believes that Kostas Manolas is not in the league of the best defenders that Italian Serie A has to offer and that the Greek defender is a level below in comparison to the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli, Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan, Giorgio Chiellini of Juventus and many more.
Kostas Manolas has been an integral member of the AS Roma squad since he joined the club from Greek top flight side Olympiacos in 2014.
He has made almost 200 appearances for AS Roma in all competitions, netting eight goals including the goal that gave his team a comeback aggregate victory over Spanish champions Barcelona in the Champions League last season.
