Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe during this summer’s transfer window.
This is according to the publication from The Times which disclosed that the Red Devils want to sign the highly rated winger before the end of the current transfer window.
The current transfer window ends on the 8th of August.
Nicolas Pepe is one of the most exciting young players in European football and the Ivorian international has been linked with a lot of the major European clubs.
The 24-year-old has been a key player for Lille in the last two seasons.
Pepe scored 22 goals for Lille in the French Ligue 1 last season as his club finished the campaign in second position behind champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Lille are back in the Champions League for the new season as a result of the second-placed finish from last season.
Apart from Manchester United, other major European sides like Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with Pepe who’s rated at £70m by his French Ligue 1 club.
Manchester United have made two summer signings till date.
The Red Devils have signed Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
