North London giants Arsenal have been dealt a major transfer blow in their pursuit of Barcelona winger Malcom after his club slammed an outrageous transfer fee on him.
The Gunners are one of many clubs interested in the young Brazilian player but the transfer fee quoted by Barcelona will almost certainly scare them away.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Barcelona won’t let Malcom leave the club permanently unless they receive €60m for him which will represent a profit of €19m.
Malcom became a Barcelona player last summer after the Catalan giants snapped him up from under the noses of Italian Serie A club AS Roma.

The Italian capital club had agreed on a deal with his then club, Bordeaux before Barcelona swooped in on him.
The 21-year-old has spent one year at Barcelona but he has not been able to nail down a spot in the first XI.
Malcom has been on the fringes of the first team at Barcelona and the recent arrival of Antoine Griezmann has pushed him further down the attacking order at the Nou Camp.
Apart from Arsenal, the Brazilian player has also been linked with a move to other Premier League sides like Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.
