North London giants Arsenal have been linked with a move for Barcelona winger Malcom this summer and the Gunners could face the threat of French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the bid to sign the Brazilian international.

According to The Sun, the Gunners have to fend off PSG if they want to sign Malcom during this summer’s transfer window.

It was revealed that Arsenal have made a season-long loan offer for the player with the option to sign him for £36m at the end of his loan spell.

PSG could move ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign by securing his transfer outrightly.

Malcom has not had the best of times at Barcelona since he joined the Spanish champions for €41m at the start of last season.

He was at former French champions Bordeaux before Barcelona snatched him from AS Roma who were the first team to agree a deal for him.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to strengthen his squad with wingers this summer and Malcom represents a cheap option for the Gunners who have a £45m transfer budget.

Apart from Malcom, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for other wingers like Ryan Fraser of Bournemouth and Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.
