Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona have rejected the opportunity to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose this summer.
This is according to the latest reports coming out of the media in Spain.
Danny Rose was offered to Barcelona in their quest to sign a left-back this summer thereby providing competition for first choice Jordi Alba.
Barcelona left-back Alba has not been challenged in that position since Lucas Digne left the club for Premier League side Everton last summer.
The specific report from popular Spanish media outlet SPORT revealed that Danny Rose offered himself to Barcelona but the Catalans passed up the opportunity to sign him.
Recent reports claimed that the Manchester United target is valued at £20m by Tottenham Hotspur.
Danny Rose had earlier been placed on the transfer market at Spurs and manager Mauricio Pochettino tries to shake things up.
The England international left-back was part of the Spurs team that lost their first ever Champions League final.
Danny Rose and Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 2-0 via the goals from Mohamed Salah (penalty) and Divock Origi who had come on in the second half as a replacement for Roberto Firmino.
