Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly in talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid want to sign a new right-back this summer and England international Trippier is being targeted for that position.

Atletico Madrid need a new right-sided defender after Juanfran left the club this summer at the end of his contract.

Kieran Trippier could replace the veteran Spanish international at Atletico Madrid after he was placed on the transfer list at Spurs.

The English defender was a regular for Tottenham Hotspur in their run to the Champions League final last season.

Trippier played a big part in the run to the Champions League final before his Tottenham Hotspur side lost to Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah (penalty) and substitute Divock Origi scored the goals for Liverpool either side of the halftime interval as the Reds won 2-0 to win their first trophy in seven years.

Kieran Trippier might have played his last game for Tottenham Hotspur during that Champions League final clash with Liverpool.

He was linked with Italian Serie A giants Napoli and Manchester United earlier this summer but both clubs have since moved on to other transfer targets.

Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have agreed on a club-record deal for Joao Felix from Portuguese Super League giants Benfica.

The deal for Joao Felix was announced by Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Earlier reports had claimed that Atletico Madrid were willing to meet his €120m at Benfica.

The Spaniards have paid more than the release for the Portuguese teen sensation after they agreed on a fee of €126m for him.

Only Neymar (€222m) and Kylian Mbappe (€135m) have gone for more money.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both play their club football for French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

Joao Felix produced his best display in a Benfica shirt when he netted a treble to become the first teenager to achieve that feat in the history of the Europa League.
