Man Utd Target Steven Bergwijn Waiting On Bayern Munich Approach

PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn is waiting on an approach from German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich this summer as he contemplates on his next career decision.

His agent Fulco Van Kooperen confirmed this in a chat with popular media channel ESPN.

According to him, his client is waiting on Bayern Munich but the wait won’t be forever since the player has numerous interests amongst the European clubs.

Apart from the German champions, Steven Bergwijn is also attracting the interest of clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Ajax Amsterdam.

Manchester United are in the transfer market for young players with immense quality and Steven Bergwijn fits the bill.

The 21-year-old scored 14 goals and also provided 12 assists for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie last season but it was not enough to give his team a second successive league title.

PSV Eindhoven lost the league title to rivals Ajax Amsterdam who finished with two domestic trophies including the Dutch Cup won by the 4-0 trouncing of Willem II in their final clash.

Apart from Dutch international Steven Bergwijn, Manchester United have also been linked with young players like Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff, Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo and many more.

Newly appointed Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has urged young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi to stay and be a part of his plans at Chelsea.

According to the Chelsea legend, Callum Hudson-Odoi can be central to his plans at the club.

Frank Lampard spoke about the England international player during the preseason tour of Dublin.

The former Chelsea midfielder was speaking ahead of the friendly with St. Patrick Athletic.

He said that it’s too early to make promises but his desire is for Callum Hudson-Odoi to be an important player for his Chelsea team.

Callum Hudson-Odoi came through the ranks at Chelsea before making his debut for the Blues last year.

The 18-year-old has impressed in the Chelsea team since he appeared in his first game.

Immediate past Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri didn’t play him like he would have liked in the last campaign and that seems to have cast doubt in his mind.

Hudson-Odoi was seriously linked with German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in January but the Blues were able to repel several bids from the Bavarian giants for him.

The player also submitted a transfer request which was turned down immediately.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to sign a new contract but he wants more responsibilities in the team.

He has one year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.

Europa League champions Chelsea are hopeful that German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich will end their pursuit of winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

According to the Independent, Bayern Munich are eyeing a big money move for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane which will automatically end their pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi if they are able to secure a deal for the German international.

Bayern are still hopeful of completing a club-record £90m transfer for Leroy Sane this summer though Manchester City want to hang on to the services of the winger who has two years left on his current deal with the Citizens.

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and club officials are trying to secure him on a long-term deal to ward off the interest of Bayern Munich and all other interested clubs.

Apart from five-time European champions Bayern Munich, others like Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top of English football after he became an important player for both club and country.

The 18-year-old was in good form for both England and Chelsea before a serious knee injury curtailed his progress.

He’s expected to return to action in September.

German champions Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to meet the asking price for Juventus defender Joao Cancelo this summer.

This is according to the publication from Italian transfer news portal Calciomercato which revealed that the Bavarian giants want to sign the Portuguese right-back.

German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have suffered a big blow in pursuit of Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi according to experienced journalist Ronan Murphy.

It was revealed that the Bavarian giants made a bid for him and it was rejected by the West Londoners.

Bayern Munich made a €25m bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer and it was swiftly turned down by Chelsea.

The Bavarian giants had earlier made several bids for the player during the winter transfer window earlier this year.

Four separate bids were knocked back by Chelsea in January for Hudson-Odoi who has a year left on his current contract with them.

Chelsea will have to convince him to sign a new contract this summer to prevent the player from leaving the club for free next summer.

The Blues might need to sell Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer if he fails to agree to a new contract with the club.

Recent reports claimed that Chelsea have offered him a whopping sum of £100,000 on a weekly basis.

Hudson-Odoi wants more responsibility at the club in the wake of the exit of Eden Hazard earlier this summer for a fee believed to be around €100m.

German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have reportedly held talks to sign Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.

This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mirror which revealed that the Bavarian giants have held talks with the player’s agent in a bid to sign him this summer.

Ousmane Dembele is most likely to become surplus to requirements at Barcelona if the Catalan giants manage to pull off the return of Neymar.

French World Cup winner Dembele took the number 11 jersey vacated by Neymar when the Brazilian left the Nou Camp in 2017.

Barcelona were almost handicapped after PSG activated the €222m (£200m) deal in his then contract with the Catalan giants to make him the most expensive player in the history of world football.

Neymar is keen to return to Barcelona this summer after two years at the Parc des Princes.

The 27-year-old has informed senior PSG officials about his intention to re-join Barcelona this summer.

Neymar has scored 51 goals in 58 appearances since his move to PSG to years ago.

His transfer to Barcelona will almost certainly lead to the end of Dembele in Spain.

Ousmane Dembele joined Barcelona from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and he could return to Germany with Bayern Munich.

Bayern Tried To Hijack Liverpool Transfer For Prolific Defender

German champions Bayern Munich have reportedly tried and failed to hijack the transfer of young Dutch defender Sepp van der Berg.

This is according to the publication from TalkSport which revealed that the Bavarian giants tried to derail the Liverpool transfer by reaching out to the player’s agent.

The Germans also tried to contact his family before the move to Liverpool was made official on Thursday in a deal reported to be around £1.4m.

Liverpool could pay up to £4.4m for the young Dutch defender if he goes on to represent the first team.

Sepp van der Berg was officially announced as a Liverpool player on Thursday thus making him the first signing of the summer for the newly crowned European champions.

Liverpool signed the Dutchman from PEC Zwolle FC of the Netherlands.

He enjoyed a breakthrough season for PEC Zwolle last season.

Sepp van der Berg made 15 appearances for PEC Zwolle who finished well outside the relegation places at the end of the latest Dutch Eredivisie season.

The player is widely regarded as one of the young centre backs in the Netherlands and he has been likened to Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk who was a key member of the team that won the Champions League at the start of this month.

Chelsea fans have been boosted with the news that exciting winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned to light training as he recovers from a serious Achilles injury.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has been the subject of several bids from German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich especially during the winter transfer window in January but Chelsea stood firm that the player was not for sale.

His injury status has not disturbed Bayern Munich who still retain an interest in the player with the Bavarian giants expected to put a bid back in for the player.

The 18-year-old suffered a serious Achilles injury during a Premier League game in April and he underwent surgery as a result.

Callum Hudson-Odoi gave an update on his injury status via his social media account.

The young English winger has started to do drills as he works his way back to full fitness.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has enjoyed a remarkable rise in the past months after impressing for Chelsea in both the Premier League and the Europa League especially.

He also won his first cap for the Three Lions of England during a Euro 2020 qualifier against Czech Republic at the Wembley Stadium.

England got their qualifying campaign off to a winning start via a 5-0 win over the Czech Republic team.
