German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Dalian Yifang winger Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco according to the latest reports emanating from the media in Germany.
Belgian international Carrasco is keen to return to Europe after just 18 months with Dalian Yifang FC of China.
The 25-year-old had earlier joined the Chinese Super League outfit from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in February 2018.
According to the specific publication from Trusted German newspaper SportBild, Bayern Munich are ready to turn their attention to Yannick-Ferreira Carrasco after the Germans were snubbed by Manchester City in the quest to sign winger Leroy Sane.
German international Sane is the top transfer target for Bayern this summer but Premier League champions Manchester City are reluctant to do a deal.
Sane has two years left on his Manchester City contract at the moment and the Citizens want to give him a new deal rather than sell him.
The 23-year-old played an important role for Manchester City who finished the just concluded season with three major trophies.
The aforementioned publication also said that RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Julian Draxler are also alternatives to Leroy Sane for the Bavarian giants.
