Premier League club Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a summer move for highly rated Chelsea defender Reece James.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace see the Chelsea youngster as the candidate to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka who has gone to Manchester United.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka became the second summer signing for Manchester United at the end of last month on the back of his breakthrough season for the Eagles.

The 21-year-old was rewarded with a big money move to Manchester United.

The Red Devils signed him in a deal said to be around £50m.

Crystal Palace want Reece James to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Selhurst Park but it is yet to be seen if Chelsea would be willing to let one of their best youngsters leave the club.

Chelsea have a transfer ban to worry about at the moment pending the hearing from the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

The Blues are most likely to hold on to Reece James until the two-window transfer ban handed out to them by FIFA has been sorted out.

Reece James, 19, had a successful loan spell at English Championship club Wigan Athletic last season and he ended up bagging the Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and the Goal of the Season Awards.
