Italian Serie A giants Napoli are the best option for Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez according to his father Wilson.
James Rodriguez is deemed to be surplus to requirements at Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and he has been seriously linked with a move to Napoli this summer.
Wilson Rodriguez spoke to CalcioNapoli about his son as he revealed that Napoli represent the best option for him thereby ruling out a move to the Premier League.
James Rodriguez has been a long-term transfer target for Premier League sides like Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and West London giants Chelsea.
His father also talked up the relationship his son has with Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti during back to their days at Real Madrid.
James Rodriguez played under the guidance of the Italian tactician at Real Madrid for one season (2014/15 season) before Carlo Ancelotti was sacked at the end of that campaign.
James Rodriguez is deemed to be surplus to requirements at Real Madrid this summer just like what was obtainable during the summer transfer window of 2017 when he left the club to join German champions Bayern Munich on loan.
He signed for the Bavarian giants on loan for two years until this summer for £11m with the option of a permanent transfer for £36m but the Germans opted not to make the transfer permanent.
Chelsea Suffer Heavy Injury Blow Ahead Of Norwich City Clash
Europa League holders Chelsea have suffered a big injury blow ahead of their league meeting with newly promoted Premier League outfit Norwich City.
The Blues travel to Norwich City to take on the Canaries in one of the week three games in the Premier League.
The injury update on one of the Chelsea players was provided by manager Frank Lampard in a chat with the club’s official website.
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is likely to miss the Norwich City game because of an ankle sprain.
According to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, Kante has carried the injury throughout the week.
Lampard is still hopeful that his star player will feature in the game against Norwich City.
The Norwich City v Chelsea game is the early kickoff in the Premier League on Saturday.
Frank Lampard would be hoping that N’Golo Kante is fit to take his place in the starting XI against the newly promoted side as his search for a first win continues.
The Chelsea manager has not recorded a win in his first three games since being appointed into the job this summer and he would be hoping that the situation will change starting with the away game at Carrow Road.
Chelsea: Legend Attacks Nigerian Forward
Former Chelsea defender Robert Huth has questioned the ability of Nigerian attacker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Robert Huth talked about Super Eagles player Iheanacho while he was on BBC Radio 5 Live.
According to him, Kelechi Iheanacho does not have the quality to replace Jamie Vardy as the lone striker for Leicester City.
Kelechi Iheanacho is in his third season at Leicester City following his big money move from Premier League champions Manchester City.
Leicester City paid around £25m to sign Iheanacho from Leicester City.
Since his transfer, Kelechi Iheanacho has not been able to nail down a starting spot in the Leicester City team.
He has not been able to displace England international Jamie Vardy as the lone striker in the starting XI at the King Power Stadium.
Kelechi Iheanacho has hardly featured for Leicester City since Brendan Rodgers was appointed as the replacement for French tactician Claude Puel at the club.
His plight at Leicester City was further compounded this summer with the signing of Spanish attacker Ayoze Perez for £30m.
Ayoze Perez joined the Foxes from fellow Premier League outfit Newcastle United.
Iheanacho paid dearly for his lack of playing time at Leicester City after he missed out on the Super Eagles squad that finished theirs at this summer’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.

Chelsea Block Tiemoue Bakayoko From Leaving Stamford Bridge
Premier League giants Chelsea have blocked midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from leaving the club according to the latest reports coming out of the media in France.
Tiemoue Bakayoko is surplus to requirements at Chelsea and the West London giants are keen to offload him before the transfer window ends next month.
The Premier League transfer market has ended but French international Tiemoue Bakayoko can still seek a move away from the club before the European transfer window ends on the 2nd of September.
According to RMC Sports, French Ligue 1 giants want to sign Bakayoko on loan for the season but Chelsea have blocked the deal with the West Londoners holding out for a permanent transfer for the player they signed from the same club for £40m.
He played 185 minutes during Chelsea’s pre-season but manager Frank Lampard told him that he’s not in his plans for the future.
Bakayoko is back at Chelsea this summer after the Frenchman spent last season on loan at Italian Serie A giants AC Milan.
He had a good loan spell with the Rossoneri but they decided against signing him on a permanent deal mainly due to disciplinary issues after falling out with manager Gennaro Gattuso at the end of last season.
