Latest reports have revealed that West London outfit Chelsea have agreed on a deal to sign Swedish young sensation Edwin Andersson as soon as he clocks 16, his father, Mikael has revealed to Daily Express.
Edwin Andersson has been impressive for his Swedish side IFK Gothenburg and it has not gone unnoticed with a number of teams seeking to land him as soon as he comes if age.
The player’s father stated that there has been incredible number of clubs seeking to sign his son but they have all been turned down for Chelsea.
He noted that the Blues team must, however, wait until he turns 16 so as not to beat the rules established by FIFA, knowing that they could be faced with bigger sanctions.
Edwin Andersson’s father added that there are details from the deal but it was not made public as they are all waiting to have him begin on a bigger stage.
However, the West London outfit have been handed a transfer ban by the world football governing body FIFA for committing an offence that involves securing the signature of underage players.
Edwin Andersson’s father has made it known that his son has got a lot of similarities with Callum Hudson-Odoi.

There has been suggestions that Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud could leave the club in the winter transfer window in January but the player might need to wait for next summer according to the publication from the stables of The Sun.

The aforementioned report said that the interested clubs are ready to wait till next summer to sign Olivier Giroud on a free transfer rather than spend money to secure his transfer in January.
Giroud has six months remaining on his Chelsea deal at the moment meaning that the 33-year-old striker can start to speak with the foreign clubs as from January 1 over a free transfer move.
The Frenchman joined Chelsea from fellow London rivals Arsenal in January 2018 and he has already won the Europa League title with them.
Arsenal received £18m for his transfer to Chelsea.

The CAS verdict held on Friday partially upheld the ruling from FIFA but the transfer ban was reduced to just one window which has already been served.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are now targeting five players in the transfer window including Brentford star Said Benhrama who plays for the Algerian national team.
Others on the list include Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and former Blues defender Nathan Ake.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is a top performer for his German club and he’s on the radar of Chelsea alongside Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell.

They will serve the second part of the punishment in the January transfer window if the ban is not overturned.
Wilfried Zaha was a transfer target for both Everton and Arsenal in the summer but the two clubs were unable to produce the £80m transfer fee ended to sign him.
