Latest reports have revealed that West London outfit Chelsea have agreed on a deal to sign Swedish young sensation Edwin Andersson as soon as he clocks 16, his father, Mikael has revealed to Daily Express.

Edwin Andersson has been impressive for his Swedish side IFK Gothenburg and it has not gone unnoticed with a number of teams seeking to land him as soon as he comes if age.

The player’s father stated that there has been incredible number of clubs seeking to sign his son but they have all been turned down for Chelsea.

He noted that the Blues team must, however, wait until he turns 16 so as not to beat the rules established by FIFA, knowing that they could be faced with bigger sanctions.

Edwin Andersson’s father added that there are details from the deal but it was not made public as they are all waiting to have him begin on a bigger stage.

However, the West London outfit have been handed a transfer ban by the world football governing body FIFA for committing an offence that involves securing the signature of underage players.

Edwin Andersson’s father has made it known that his son has got a lot of similarities with Callum Hudson-Odoi.
