Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has finalized his contract with the club ahead of his official announcement as the new manager.
According to Sky Sports, Frank Lampard spent six hours at Chelsea for the purpose of sorting out his contract as the new manager.
It was revealed that the former Chelsea midfielder was at the club until 1:30 am in the early hours of Thursday.
Frank Lampard had earlier reached an agreement with Chelsea to take over the managerial role at Stamford Bridge on the back of the exit of former boss Maurizio Sarri.
The former Blues assistant captain is expected to earn £4.5m at Chelsea on a yearly basis.

He has signed a three-year deal until the end of the 2021/22 season ahead of an official announcement from the club.
Chelsea has had to pay £4.5m to Derby County as compensation for Frank Lampard.
The 41-year-old will leave Derby County after just one season with the English Championship club.
Lampard led Derby County to the playoffs before they lost to Aston Villa who sealed Premier League as a result.
Former European champions Aston Villa defeated Derby 2-1 in the final of the playoffs to secure promotion to the top flight of English football.
